I’m an undergraduate working towards a Honors Thesis. My project focuses on Fiddler Crabs, Uca pugnax, and their relationship with the sediment on both the Plum Island Estuary, and the salt marshes of Nantucket. As a large picture question, I am trying to help figure out if the fiddler crab’s range expansion can be considered invasive, and how they affect the salt marshes north of Cape Cod. In addition to working on my thesis, I was a field tech intern in the summer of 2018.
